Autumn Inspiration

By: Colleen Lennehan

Autumn swept away summer with turning leaves and pumpkin lined porches, bringing in tons of colorful inspiration for this seasons weddings.

After the initial shock of becoming engaged, many couples first choose a season to plan their wedding in, perhaps they decide based off the weather, meaningful dates, or simply because their dream wedding always involved snow covered streets or seaside dancing.

As we begin our new season, we gathered some fall inspired shoots, bouquets, and other seasonally touched ideas for you to think about for an upcoming wedding or party!

Foraged from the Forest

This trendy organic forest theme is a beautiful blend of fairytale charm and raw natural elements. Deep reds, browns and greens in the bouquet, tablescape, and cake décor bring in a cool and crisp air to this styled shoot. They used many different pieces to create this forest feast, including fruits, flowers, greenery, leaves, and even a pair of antlers to really paint a classic fall picture.

Cozy Cotton

The softness and texture of cotton adds in a whimsical warmth to these boutonnières and bouquets. Mixing it in with other seasonal stems like berries and greens brings a sweet southern vibe to their wedding flowers. These fluffy cotton balls are a natural way to incorporate a not so typical autumn detail into your fabulous soirée!

Burgundy Beauty

Though deep reds and burgundy’s may seem to be a classic pair with autumn weddings, there are many ways to give them a little twist. These three bouquets, though similar, show how you can add different flowers and colors to create something unique. The first bouquet, made by Terri, highlights gold and pink as accent colors. These shades blend beautifully together, and the gold adds a bit of sparkle and glam to the bouquet. The second burgundy beauty has more muted blooms accompanying it. Light pinks and dusty greys create an airy look, yet it’s still fitting with the fall season. The final bouquet was also made by Terri and allows greens to share the spotlight. Eucalyptus and dusty miller blend well with burgundy celosia and gerberas, giving off a stunning organic look!

Hopefully you sipped on some cider and gathered up a few ideas from our post! Stay tuned for upcoming blogs on our fall weddings!
